Application Description
PlowReport is an easy-to-use app designed to help snow removers keep track of their customers’ sites, monitor the progress of a plowing route, and show performance statistics in real time.
Install your iPhone on the dashboard of your vehicle so it has an unobstructed view of the sky. Then, launch the app and go along your normal plow route. PlowReport will automatically recognize your customer's site (detection mode) and put a pin on the map with the address of each site. The next time you start your route, PlowReport, using GPS technology and plow recognition algorithms, will identify each successfully cleaned site. The app helps you monitor your progress by grouping all customer sites into three categories:
- Site plowed successfully – grey pin
- Site remains to be plowed – red pin
- Site was obstructed or forgotten to be plowed – yellow pin
You can monitor your efficiency by assessing your average time per site, overall route duration, and route distance
Map Screen
1.Initially, all customer sites will be indicated by red pins
2.Pin on the map will turn gray when site is plowed successfully
3.Pin will turn yellow if the site was not plowed, but the snow remover drove by the site
4.Click on the pin to see the site address
5.Click the plus on the upper left-hand side of the screen to add a new site manually
Report Screen
1.Shows total number of plowed, remaining, and drove-by sites as snow removing is progressing
2.Shows elapsed time for the current route
3.Calculates average time per site
4.Shows distance in miles or kilometers
Settings Screen
1.An Equipment ID will be automatically generated for your phone when you first install the application
2.Server Connect will send your data to the server for further reference.
3.Discovery Mode has to be turned on when you plow for the first time to identify and place on the map all of the customer sites. Keep discovery mode off if you don’t intend to add new sites.
4.Distance can be shown in miles or kilometers
5.The Reset button will mark all sites as not visited (red)
6.The Delete button will delete all sites and reset the Equipment ID
