Designed for parents to create interactive presentations with personalized audio and text for young children, Picture Talk consists of a parent's interface and a child’s interface. The parents interface allows you to select an image from the iPad's photo album, and then record your voice to attach to various spots in the image. For example, an image of a group of animals can make an interesting presentation for babies. You can quickly and easily make a button on top of each animal, label it with text and record the corresponding audio description. Your presentations can then be saved on the iPad for viewing and editing in the future. In the child’s interface, parents can encourage children to touch the interesting objects in the picture. The text annotation label will pop out, the recorded voice will play, and your child will have a fun time imitating the sound. This is a great exercise to enhance your child's speech development.

Picture Talk's interface is carefully designed with both parents and children in mind. When a list of presentations is shown, it is straightforward for your child to touch one thumbnail to enter their interested presentation, but it requires a long-touch gesture to reveal the menu of “delete” and “edit” functions, which are designed for parents only. This intuitive design makes it less likely for children to accidentally delete or edit a presentation, yet it looks simple and elegant.

* Presentation Browsing:
Each page contains up to 20 image thumbnails for 20 presentations, swipe across the screen to browse presentations on other pages.
* Intuitive Interface:
Simply touch a thumbnail to view a saved presentation. Parents functions including Editing and Deleting requires the gesture of press and hold on a presentation thumbnail to reveal, this limits the chance of a child accidentally deletes a presentation.
* Image import:
Use any images from your iPad’s photo albums including the images you downloaded from the Internet.
* Hotspot creation:
Double-click any location in image to create a hotspot. Touch a hotspot will display the editing options such as customizing the label text, color, font, and record/play sound for that button. Touch and drag to move the button, pinch on a button to re-size.
* Hotspot copy, paste and delete functions:
Touch and hold on a hotspot will reveal the hidden menu for that hotspot.
* Presentation saving:
Presentations can be saved or saved as another presentation.
* Presentation playing/viewing:
Click any object on image to reveal text label and/or play recorded sound.
