PickMeUp is the fastest way to send someone REAL directions to your location. NO LOGINS OR ACCOUNTS REQUIRED!
Unlike most 'Location' Apps, PickMeUp actually sends real directions, that open in the standard Maps application, to exactly where you are through text message to any iPhone or Android phone.
The best thing about it is that anyone can receive directions even if they don't have the app, because PickMeUp uses the map applications that are installed on every phone.
Its simple! Are you inviting friends to a dinner party? Waiting for a ride on a college campus? Forget about typing your address every time, or trying to describe your surroundings, or searching for nearby street signs. PickMeUp does all of this for you in a few simple steps. ***Known Issues that we are working on.***
1. If recipient has a poor cellular connection: Maps may not accurately retrieve their location.
(Solutions:
1A. Clicking the link a second time, or
1B. Recalculating directions from "Current Location".)
2. Occasional lag while adding recipients if the app has been running in the background and you open it up again to send directions. (Restarting the app solves this)
3. App is not currently compatible with Facebook synced contacts.
4. ***Android users are not automatically redirected to maps, they must click "Get Directions" in the browser.
5. ***Not compatible with Blackberry devices.
