Piano by Music Wormhole is a three level app, the introductory level is called Chord. Large colorful diagrams display the notes and finger positions to play all the Major Chords of Western Music. The Chords are arranged in the order of the Chromatic Scale (sequentially) similar to a clock face. Video lessons are embedded in the App and provide a foundation to understanding the structure of Western Music.
The second level of Piano by Music Wormhole is called the I IV V because it plays and displays the I IV V Chord progression in the twelve keys of Western Music. The I IV V Chord progression is important because it is used often in songs. Tap the screen to listen to the Chords play and then replicate the sound on your own Piano. Finger numbers are shown below each Chord diagram and Chord Name.
The third level of Piano by Music Wormhole is called the Major Scale because it plays and displays the Major Scale in all the twelve keys of Western Music and allows you to improvise your own chord progressions in any key. Measure bars will record the scale degrees that you play and play them back to you or allow you to change to another key and hear that Chord progression played back in a different key.
All of Music Wormhole’s products use a consistent color assignment for each note which makes the material visually intuitive.
The sound recordings feature an acoustic Piano. You can choose from three different playing styles, single depression, double depression or and arpeggiated.
