Created in 2012 by the Philbrook Young Masters Society, a group of donors under the age of 45, MIX draws attention and energy to Philbrook Downtown, a satellite space focusing on 20th & 21st century Native American and Modern and contemporary art, which opened in June 2013. MIX spotlights creativity among bartenders (MIXologists) currently crafting in establishments located in and around Downtown Tulsa.

A general art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Philbrook has featured world-class art, immaculate gardens, and engaging educational programming since opening in 1939. Today, Philbrook includes two campuses: a 23-acre estate, which includes an historic home and modern museum complex in Midtown Tulsa as well as a 2-story modern gallery space in Downtown Tulsa.
