Plan your perennial garden before digging an ounce of dirt! Create combinations of perennials and see the results immediately - either side-by-side pictures or each plant's characteristics in a table form. Now you can easily tell whether your plant choices are compatible and will work for your site.

Select plants for your combos by narrowing the options with filter settings. Set a wide range of filters, such as sun, water, bloom color and height requirements, to show lists of plants available that fit those criteria. Save your creations to the Combo Gallery for future reference. Twelve built-in combos are included to get your inspiration started.

Besides offering fun, interactive combo making, Perennial Match also serves as a perennial plant reference library, with full screen photographs and useful information about each plant. The same ability to set filters/criteria when creating combos works as a search function when perusing the "Plants" library or "Pictures" grid. Plant information goes beyond the basics, and includes sun and water requirements, hardiness zone, height, spacing, bloom colors, bloom season, and type. It provides designations for plants that are native, invasive, garden aggressive, drought tolerant, wet site tolerant, butterfly attracting, deer resistant, poisonous, fragrant or a groundcover. Sample hybrid/cultivar names, maintenance info and general comments round out the plant details.

More familiar with Common names than Latin names for plants? Set a global setting in Setup and the common names for plants will be shown first and used in list sorting.
