What’s the link between conflict and poverty? Can development be a tool for peace?

Sadly our world is marred by violence and conflict within and between nations, communities and families. Much of this violence has been sparked by injustice and poverty.

This Simply Sharing app is an interactive education tool for secondary students and adults. It will help users understand that:
- conflict is often about inequality,
- peace is not just about an absence of violence, but living in a just society, and
- effective community development can address some of the causes of conflict and reinforce peace

Users will also learn about the structural causes of conflict and inequality and how a water project in Darfur has been a tool for peace building.

Simply Sharing is an ecumenical education initiative of several Christian aid and development organisations in Australia.
