When looking for a utility to help design particle effects, I have seen many tools that are used within other coding platforms such as COCOS2D, Corona, etc but I could never find anything that could be used with just the plain UIKit within Xcode.

With the need to get some help to develop my own particle effects, I have drawn up this very useful application that simplifies the whole process.

So, here we have Particle Fun! A visual editor that allows you to easily create particle emitters that use plain vanilla UIKit processing.

You can choose from a number of pre-loaded effects that can be used as-is, or can be used as a starting point for your own effects.

A number of different particle designs also come supplied, and a link is provided to where these assets can be located for use within your own applications.

Changes made throughout the application will be reflected real time so you can quickly and easily see what changes you make, and how that impacts your new design.

Once you have created your design, these can be saved in the program should you need to use/change them later.

All the code required to create the particle effect will be generated and this can be emailed so that you can copy/paste this into your own applications.
