MCQ Learning is a multiple-choice platform developed by Papworth Hospital (Cambridge, UK). The system allows the user to select single or multiple correct answers.

Within a selected topic, the system selects randomly 15 questions from an ever expanding database and matches an appropriate number of true or false answers to each question. This mix-and-match process generates a different set of questions/answers combination at each new start.

Each question comes with a comprehensive answer fully referenced (hyperlinked to pubmed or similar - connection internet required for this functionality). When using offline, the user can bookmark any answer to read again at a later stage (and access the links if connected to the internet).

After answering 15 questions, a personal certificate with obtained score is generated and can be archived, downloaded or emailed for the user's records.

MCQ Learning currently hosts several collections of MCQs on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) / transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE).

Additional questions and answers will be made available in the future and free to download within purchased topic. Additional clinical topics, free or available for a small fee, are likely to be made available soon.

This app has been developed by Dr Alain Vuylsteke (Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK), with the technical support of Instrata. It is based on a concept developed by Dr Andy Pybus (Australia).
