Simple and Secure Password Storage

Store either your usernames and passwords or any other text you wish to enter.

Group your entries as you wish.

Padlock strives to provide the highest level of security.

Industrial strength encryption (see below for details).

Only decrypts your data as and when you request.

Limits where the unencrypted data is stored on the device.

Your key passwords are never stored on the device.

Create as many secondary encryption keys as you wish - create multiple levels of security.

Configure the app to forget secondary keys after some time.


- Cryptographic details -

Padlock uses scrypt* for key derivation.

Padlock uses AES-256 cipher in CBC mode for encryption.

Padlock uses HMAC-SHA256 to check data integrity.

All cryptographic functions (AES256 and HMAC-SHA256) come from Apple's own CommonCrypto Framework.

* scrypt is an open source key derivation function that is designed to resist attacks from even custom build hardware.
