OSISA produces a wealth of publications – from cutting-edge research to thought-provoking analysis to influential policy papers - on a diverse range of topics. Working in 10 southern African countries to build open, vibrant and tolerant democracies, OSISA’s publications are intended to educate, entertain and spark debate on critical issues relating to human rights, governance, justice, inequality, accountability etc. OSISA publishes three core streams – Open Debate, Open Policy and Open Learning – as well as its flagship journal, Openspace, and its journal of African women, Buwa!. In addition, the institution publishes a variety of ad-hoc publications on specific critical issues and funds the publication of research papers, books and academic journals by a host of partners.
