OptiCut makes it simple to figure out how much wire you're going to need for a project and how best to use partial spools you already have. Using a one dimensional, linear optimization algorithm, OptiCut turns your lists of pieces of wire needed and partial spools available (if any) into a cut list which you can then email to yourself. It even tells you how much scrap you'll have when you're finished.

OptiCut works with any 1D material including: lumber, pipe, rebar, metal bars, or whatever you like. It really doesn't matter what the material is.
