What is OnSpot Mobile?
•Smartphone application integrated with GPS to deliver location-specific content, smart messages and promotional opportunities.
•It associate real-world locations (such as restaurants, shops and events) to user location. However when users are outside of OnSpot zone, they see either default sample menu or default slide show (screen shots displays user experience in two different stores: One is Sporting goods and other is a Cafe)
•Once user walks into OnSpot zone, the app running in background, automatically loads that location’s custom information
•OnSpot can either show detailed catalog/menu item or run a slide show with related information for that location
•User may receive promotions or specials while visiting the OnSpot catchment location
•User can browse full page banners, view categories, apply filters and sort options to choose item

How it works?
•It uses background services to track GPS satellite data and calculate user exact position. Since people use this app when they are on foot and walk in to different retail locations, the precision is needed to close to 30 Metres to get an accurate location. Once OnSpot (most of the time in the background) detects that user is in OnSpot zone, it automatically loads contents for that location and display any if any custom message available for that location via push notification.
•Application always shows default messages and promotions if it is not in any OnSpot zone
•Application in default mode (as is - out side of OnSpot Zone) will not generate any push notification
