Application Description
ODU inGame Stats, provided by Verizon Wireless, gives you real-time, home game statistics right from the scorer’s table by utilizing a user interface tailored to the Apple iPhone and iPad. The app covers home games for Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Football. The app displays stats in both landscape and portrait view to optimize the display of the statistical data.
ODUinGame Stats gives you the ability to navigate among statistical summaries, individual stats, and a complete Play-by-Play display, without making you refresh the display or click buttons to navigate. In addition to the Statistics and Play-by-Play.
Features include:
-SOCIAL: Integrated Twitter functions enable fans and the school to participate in chat sessions related to the game, even down to a specific play - use #ODUSports
-MESSAGES: Real-time, School-initiated alerts and messages to broadcast information and promotional notices to fans
-MAPS: A Map feature that provides filtering, allowing fans to locate ATMs, parking, concessions, first aid stations, nearby restaurants, and other point of interests.
-INFO: Enables fans to retrieve information on such topics as facility and campus policies, fund raising, alumni activities, etc.
Use your iPhone or iPad to gain insight into game performance that goes beyond what is available to the coaches. By refreshing Statistics and Play-by-Play data within 30 seconds of game play, you can answer almost any question about team or individual performance. Touch-screen scrollable panels display categorized statistics as described below.
BASKETBALL:
Team & Individual Stats - presents individual details on each player’s performance in each category. The display shows team totals and identifies players on the floor and on the bench. Displays include the full array of statistics shown in a Box Score. Individual and Team shooting percentages are included.
Play-by-Play – A complete Play-by-Play display is available, allowing instant access to the details of each play: who took that last Shot? Who got that Rebound? When was our last basket?
FOOTBALL:
Team Stats – presents a summary of both teams’ overall performance, including First Downs, Passing, Rushing, and Return Yards, Averages, & Percentages, Penalties, Punts, and Possession Time.
Offensive Stats – presents individual details on each player’s performance in each Offensive category. Within each category, typical data includes Attempts, Total Yards, Percent Complete, Average Yards, Touchdowns, and Longest Rush, Pass, or Reception.
Defensive Stats - presents individual details on each player’s performance in each Defensive metric: Interceptions, Tackles, Sacks, and Fumbles Recovered.
Special Teams Stats - presents individual details on each player’s performance in the Special Teams portion of the game. Yards and Percentages are shown for Kicking, Field Goals, Punts, and Returns.
Play-by-Play – A complete Play-by-Play display is immediately available.
The application is available to both iPhone and iPad users, and use requires a wireless connection or cellular service.
