OBeFit Pulse
Count your pulse, stay active.
Experts agree that obesity arises from a sedentary lifestyle or, as we see it, a ‘Sit’ lifestyle. Clearly we need to be active and develop to a ‘Fit’ lifestyle, and this is precisely OBeFit’s mission:

Heart disease is a huge problem in many countries. Unfortunately a heart attack is when many of us first learn about this disease. By regularly tracking your heart rate (pulse), you can detect any irregularities sooner rather than later.
OBeFit Pulse is a useful app to help measure your heart rate on your iPhone.
Measure your heart rate in 15 seconds with OBeFit Pulse:
1. Use the app in a well-lit area, cover the iPhone camera with your fingertip. The square display should be coloured red
2. Once the pulse is detected the heart icon will measure and chart your pulse.
3. Wait for 15 seconds OBeFit Pulse will display your average heart rate
FEATURES
- Chart: shows pulse fluctuation
- Social: share your measurement to your social network
- Location: record place of measurement (automatically done via GPS on your phone)
- Reminders: schedule reminders to regularly check heart rate
- Add Buddy: nominate a buddy who can nudge you on missing reminders
- Notify Buddy: automatically notifies buddy over the internet to call you in case consistently fail reminders
- Settings: add profile details
- Sound: turns sound on/off
- Feedback: use this to send your feedback directly to us
- Auto stop after 15 sec: switch between continous and 15 sec measurement mode
- Graph: shows your progress over a period of time
USEFUL INFORMATION
Normal pulse rates at rest, in beats per minute (BPM):
- Children(1 — 10 years): 70–130
- Children over 10 years & adults, including seniors: 60–100
- Well-trained adult athletes: 40–60
The pulse rate can be used to check overall heart health and fitness level.

2. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
