Application Description
Oaks Park High School opened in 2001 and has now become firmly established as a popular community comprehensive school. Our Sixth Form offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses to students from Oaks Park and others who join us for their post-16 education. Following an Ofsted inspection in October 2011, Oaks Park was awarded ‘Outstanding’ status. The School was also ranked in the top 10% of the country in June 2012 for value added at GCSE for students achieving 5 A*- C including English and Maths.
The funding that we obtained as a result of Specialist School Status has enabled us to develop a Music Department which offers students numerous opportunities in the classroom as well as a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Oaks Park is fortunate in its ability to provide excellent facilities. We have a very committed team of staff, both teaching and non teaching, who strive to get the best from every student. Our programme of extra-curricular activities is outstanding.
In addition to providing a high quality education for all students, at Oaks Park we also stress the importance of traditional values. Students will be expected to display the highest standards of behaviour at all times and show respect for themselves, others and the world around them.
