Nyquest is a planet-hopping game in 42 levels and 3 acts.

Each level is a mission that your magazine's headqarter sends you on. You explore alien lifeforms, collect information and later even solve mysteries scattered across the planets of a star system. All these discoverables are white outlines. Moving your ship over them means you unveil its contents, which gives you the next bit of the story line. To get to your discoveries you move your ship over a planet's surface, jump over swamps, avoid fire-spitting volcanoes and ship-roasting thunderbolts.
Or you can fly your ship to another planet. Often you have to plan and time your jumps carefully - giving it a puzzle element, e.g., you have to dunk your ship into the glaciers of an ice-planet before touching down on a hot planet. Or you must avoid asteroid belts, that come in all sizes and shapes, moving, static, even forming labyrinths.

When you have collected all discoverables a wormhole opens up (the space-magazine's engineers are awesome!) and takes you to your next star system/level.
