Application Description
Check out the conditions of the Nurburgring before setting out. Capture images of what people are taking to the 'ring and get snapshots of prototype cars on manufacturer test days. Zoom in on the images from the Nurburgring web cams for finer detail. Share the images with your friends. Get the latest weather, news and information for the Nurburgring. See what dates and times the 'ring is open. All this is on the NurburgCam iphone app.
NurburgCam is an unofficial app for information on the famous Nurburgring. The app was written by and for fans and participants of the Nurburgring public access "tourist days".
The app provides access to the Webcams provided by Nuerburgring.de.
These webcams are still images updated every 60 seconds. The webcams this app provides access to are the Nordschleife (northern loop) public access entry and the Grand Prix Strecke (new circuit) start finish straight. These are the images you've seen on the forums and blog sites, now available on the move on the iPhone.
The app enables the sharing of the images via Facebook and email. The images can also be downloaded to the iPhone Camera Roll to be saved/exported/shared etc.
The NurburgCam app provides access to local weather current data and forecasts and a section for updated news and information on the Nurburgring that checks the web for updates.
There are two calendars for dates and times when the Nordschleife and GP Strecke tracks are open for public access. The calendars work offline and check for an update when your iPhone is online.
There is an email address within the app to submit any Nurburgring news and information you may have for us to include in the apps news section.
You can also submit any club or forum events and meets at the Nurburgring and if approved we will add them to the Calendar sections.
As anyone who has spent a day at the 'ring knows at some point you'll need some fuel. As a bonus we have included the webcam for the local fuel filling station. This can get quite busy on public access days. The Tankstelle feed lets you pick the best time to go and fill up and a chance to catch up on what cars have just been on the 'ring.
All this only available on the NurburgCam iPhone app.
