Application Description
Turn your child's mobile phone off and on from your phone quickly & easily. You can also set the phone to automatically reinstate at a given date & time or reinstate it when you are ready with just a few clicks.
We all know that our kids hate being without their cell phone. This app equips parents with a tool to enforce the ultimate punishment - loss of phone service!
The application is compatible with all consumer-based accounts in the USA on AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile (sorry, Sprint does not allow support at this time).
You may set up multiple phones as well as multiple carriers. Once set up, you may suspend any phone on your account in just a few clicks on your phone. When suspended, the phone may be set to reactivate at a given time ("Johnny, you'll get your phone back tomorrow at 5PM!") or remain inactive until you return to the app.
When suspended, the phone may still be used for local applications or on wifi, so your child can still research homework or utilize school apps, but all services from the wireless carrier are 100% suspended - so no texting or calling of friends via your cellular carrier!
To utilize the app, you must first set up online access to your phones on the carrier website - which is free (and already set up if you've ever logged onto your carrier account online).
Even when using the app, you may still suspend or activate the phone via the carrier website - no functionality is lost.
Current limitations: For US based accounts with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile only. And you of course must be authorized on the account to suspend or reinstate. Verizon limits accounts to 3 suspends per 24 hour period. At this time, AT&T and T-Mobile have no restrictions on the number of times you can suspend a phone.
You can suspend your child's phone when they are at school and have it reinstate when school is out. Or suspend your child's phone at bedtime and have it reinstate when they get up.
Setting up the app is easy.
1 - log on to your carrier account and make sure your know your ID and Password
2 - launch the NoPhone app and set up your carrier account
3 - set up each phone on your account
