NOMADS is an iOS app that allows groups of people such as students or conference attendees, to interact with the content of a presentation in real time. The NOMADS Bindle (a nomad's bag of tools) supports individual login, group discussion, polling, and extended forms of interaction such as the NOMADS Thought Cloud and NOMADS Pointer. Groups of people using NOMADS together may be co-located or dislocated across a network.

NOMADS may be useful in a variety of contexts:
1) In classrooms students may use NOMADS to interact with the professor and with one another. The instructor can use the tool to take attendance, perform quizzes, gauge student understanding, and enable discussion even among large groups.
2) Conference attendees may use NOMADS to brainstorm or collaborate on complex issues, even as part of a presentation.
3) Businesses may use NOMADS for market research, or to gauge customer preferences and satisfaction.
4) News organizations or political analysts may use NOMADS to assess the changing opinions, for example during a newscast for viewers, or during a political rally.
