Application Description
Welcome to Nexus! The puzzle with a quadrillion, quadrillion, quadrillion possible games!! You will NEVER run out of new games to play. Never run out of challenges.
Created by an expert Sudoku player tired of repetitive game boards and short challenges, Nexus’ four levels of play are absorbing and enjoyable at all player levels.
Conceptually Easy, Devilishly Hard:
To win at Nexus, you must place a list of numbers onto a board so that the sum of any four adjacent cells equals the total shown. So, if three adjacent cells are 1, 4 and 5 and the total says 16, then the fourth cell must be a six. Easy!
This Lite version has just one level of play and hints are always turned on. The full version has four levels of play and hints can be turned off to maximize the challenge!
The full version of Nexus starts at the beginner level with a 3 x 3 square to get you warmed up. Every time you match four cells to their total, the total will turn black. Turn all totals black, by correctly placing each of the numbers 1-9 on the grid, and you win the game. If you need help, you can get feedback on each cell. With hints turned on, wrong answers will show up in red. All Nexus puzzles can be solved with logic so there’s no need to guess. Which is just as well because there are over 300,000 possible answers to the Beginner puzzle and only one is right.
The basic level in this Lite version, roughly equivalent to expert Sudoku with hints turned off but easier with hints turned on, challenges you to order 16 (4 x 4) numbers ( 20 million million possible answers). And so on … the highest level, the “Insane” level, challenges you to order 36 numbers - almost a quadrillion, quadrillion, quadrillion possible answers!!! That means it would take you, uhm, five times a quadrillion times … a REALLY long time to finish every possible game. Even with hints turned on it’s a HUGE challenge.
