This application converts numbers with different numeral bases.
Besides the usual bases such as binary, octal, and hexadecimal you can convert from base 2 to base 36. For example from base 3 to base 13 or from base 31 to base 9.
For each conversion we get the result in the required base and a decimal result. The app is useful for those who are learning about numeral systems - you can practice and check your result.
It also includes a brief lesson - explaining how the process of conversion works.
In the numeral system that has a base more than 10, the letters are also used so we can convert a word to some other numeral system and thus "encrypt" it. So for example we can make a password from our name. Just use the numeral system with a larger base that contains the letters also. For example, word "CHICAGO" from the base 35 to the base 25 is "3J32J6I9".
We don't need to remember our passwords, we can only convert our name to different numeral systems. It can't be used for real encryption because it is easy to convert numbers from one numeral system to another. But passwords that you created with this app you don't need to memorize or write down, just remember in which numeral system you converted your name into.
