AIS Functionality

When connected to an AIS system via a Digital Yacht iAIS, iNavHub, NavLink or WLN10HS NMEA to WiFi adaptor, NavLink will provide a real time overlay of AIS targets with drill down information. CPA and TCPA alarms included too

Utilise the iPhone or iPad camera to augment chart navaids and AIS targets into a real time camera view. Highlight a chart target, buoy or navaid and get visual guidance to the point via the camera display

Plan and sail routes

Instantly create a route by tapping on screen and easily edit any waypoint. Route reverse function and route overview with inter-leg bearing and distance. Share your routes via email with other users and overlay on Google maps

NavLink Charting

NavLink utilises the latest S57 based NOAA digital mapping and features automatic free updates for 1 year. With vector mapping, you can manage your layers of data to de-clutter the screen or maximise information. NavLink supports all key charting feature such as buoys, lights, bridges, depth contours, spot depths, depth contours, anchorage and military areas, weather buoys. Tides, moon and sunrise/set times are also just a tap away.

Requirements

NavLink has been specifically designed for use with Digital Yacht’s NMEA to wireless products such as the WLN10, WLN10HS, NavLink, iNavHub and iVLink. These allow your boat’s NMEA data from a GPS or AIS to be streamed to your Apple device. This means NavLink will function as a real-time navigator even on Apple devices that don’t have a 3G or GPS functionality. If you have a 3G enabled iPad or iPhone then you can utilise the built in GPS as a positioning source.

Please note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
