Application Description
Your personal TAXIMETER. Developed in close cooperation with professional taxi drivers around the world. More than 20.000 km estimated/monitored every day - and growing fast!
App calculates with maximum possible accuracy, covering 170+ cities worldwide. Used by taxi companies and passengers alike. We proudly state that it is the functionally richest and most accurate taximeter App available.
Based on GPS, it updates the fare amount during your taxi trip. Press "GO!" to start a new trip, and if your current location is supported (www.mytaxicontrol.com for a full list), taximeter starts to run.
If your current location is not supported, you can put in your own tariff.
FOR TAXI COMPANIES:
- Because of its accuracy and the possibility to maintain your own tariffs, myTaxiControl is a real alternative to an expensive taximeter device.
- App can send a personalised receipt (your company logo, driver's name...) of your trip to your email account and a copy to your passenger. A screenshot is added to the email.
- Send SMS receipt to your passenger.
- Anytime during a running trip, you can set taximeter to a fixed price. You can overwrite taximeter amount at end of trip.
- Taximeter can be halted during a running trip.
FOR TAXI PASSENGERS:
- Compare the calculated fare to the cab's meter and check if the correct tariff is applied.
- The route actually taken by the driver is displayed on the map. You can easily detect if you are "taken for a ride".
- You get useful behavior recommendations, like tipping practice or do‘s and don'ts.
- In almost all cities, App will tell you where you can complain should there be a problem with your taxi trip.
- App can send a receipt of your trip to your email account or send you a SMS.
MORE FEATURES:
- App knows all tariff details to calculate a cab’s fare with highest accuracy (flagfall with including intial time or distance, price per km/mile and/or time, slow traffic, change of tariff when distance or time is reached, waiting fee, time table, applicable area on map ...). Of course all this data can also be setup by yourself for your own tariffs.
- Flat Rates and Extras can be selected during a running trip and will supersede/update taximeter amount. They can also be maintained for your own tariffs.
- myTaxiControl keeps a history of your past trips. You can download this data in a format readable by Excel.
- Main view can be changed to different modes.
- When you type in your destination (or drag pins on the map), App will display up to 5 possible routes on a map and give you a quote. You can switch between the different routes and see how the price would change. Your negotiation position for a fixed price couldn't be any better! You can do this for any trip in the world within the covered cities and the cities added by yourself. (Internet needed)
- With one tap, App recalculates your quote under slow traffic conditions down to an average speed of 4mph/6kmh.
- All tariff details used for the calculation are shown to the user.
- The taximeter functionality doesn't need an Internet connection once database is loaded. (It does that automatically when you launch it for the first time).
- The major taxi companies in each city are listed with their phone number and website (if it exists) and you can call a taxi or click on the link within the App.
- You need to know where you are located? Simply tap “Where am I?” and you will get the full address. (Internet needed).
- The initial download includes an unrestricted usage of 1 month. After this, a subscription needs to be purchased.
