The first goal in learning to read is developing an understanding that letters or symbols are represented by specific sounds and when we see one of these letters (symbols) we are supposed to say the sound it represents. MyIphonics teaches readers two sounds for every letter symbol. The letter name, and the sound it makes.
"Consonant Vowel Consonant / CVC Words" are three letter words that consist of a consonant, vowel, consonant pattern. In CVC words one "sound picture" represents each letter symbol. This makes it the perfect place to start with beginning readers.

Consonants Page- Touch each image to hear it’s phonetic sound.
Vowels Page- Touch each image to hear it’s phonetic sound.
To navigate between pages press the green arrow or simply swipe the screen.
Interactive Flash Cards Press "Flash Cards" on bottom navigation
An interactive flash card for each letter of the alphabet! Touch the star to hear the letter. Touch the image to hear the sound. Press the green arrow or swipe the screen to move on to the next card.
5 Games: Press "Games" on bottom navigation. From the menu select the game you would like to play.
*We advise playing the games in progression as they increase in difficulty.

Goal: Drag the sound picture that makes the sound of the letter on the screen into the empty box.
2. "Beginning Sounds"
Goal: Drag the sound picture into the empty box that completes the beginning sound of the CVC word.
3. "Ending Sounds"

4. "Middle Sounds"
Goal: Drag the sound picture into the empty box that completes the middle sound of the CVC word.
