myCardLists makes keeping track of your greetings card lists really easy. This includes your Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter card lists, as well as a General category which can be renamed as needed e.g. birthday cards, New Year cards, Party/Wedding invitations etc. You can print all of the addresses in a list to address labels which is a real time-saver.

Managing each list is very simple. Tap the icon to the left of a name to indicate that the card has been sent. Tap the icon to the right to indicate that you have received a card from that person.

Select a person on a list to display their address and also a history of cards sent and received from that person. Perhaps you will decide to stop sending to someone if you haven’t received a card from them for a few years!

The card list view itself displays the total number of cards in a list as well as the number that have been sent or received. See at a glance how many stamps are required.

myCardLists can make use of the address information stored in the devices Contacts app, making it very memory efficient. This also means that when an address changes, you only have to do it in one place. However, if you would prefer to add names that are not in you Contacts, that is not a problem – you can add names as required. Therefore a list can contain both entries that are also in Contacts, as well as entries totally separate from Contacts. People often find this useful for work colleagues etc.

Adding names to a list from the Contacts app is very quick and simple. You are presented with a list of all of your contacts and you just select the ones you want by tapping on one or more names. Alternatively, if that person is not already in your Contacts, you can add the person from within the app.

Whether a name is from the Contacts app or local to myCardLists itself, you can store an “alias” for that card. For example, you might have stored the address details for “Mr John Smith” but want the card list to show “John and Mary” or “The Smiths” etc.

Each card can also store an extra piece of information. This could be names of children, information on when to send the card, information on the type of card this person likes, and so on.

It is also very simple to import names from a previous card list. For example, when you create a list for your Xmas 2012 cards, you would probably want to import the names from the 2011 list, and so on.

When a list is completed, addressing the envelopes is made so much simpler by printing all of the addresses to address labels. Several Letter and A4 sheet types are supported. To print, you just set up the label type required, and then print to an AirPrint enabled printer. Alternatively, the address details can be emailed as a pdf file and then printed from another computer.
