‘MySpeechPal’ is an interactive and entertaining speech therapy app targeted at parents, teachers & therapists working with children & young adults.

Developed by a qualified Irish speech and language therapist, experienced in working with children with autism and learning disabilities, MySpeechPal has been designed to be colourful and engaging. It features two lively and vibrant characters, a boy and his dog Pal, who are both brimming with energy and personality.

MySpeechPal also incorporates a reward system that increases motivation to participate and attention to the task at hand. It allows the educator select the number of correct answers a user must give before receiving a reward, a‘dog bone’.

This version focuses on:
(i) assessing and developing the understanding of high frequency verbs
(ii) supports the use of high frequency verbs in both first person & third person structures by encouraging a child to point to each sound as they say it
(iii) supports the use of the pronouns: ‘he’ and ‘I’
(iv) supports the use of the 3rd person ‘s’ structure in a subject verb clause e.g. “he sits”, “he catches”
(v) a record function allows the user to record and play their own production
