Application Description
Mundu Radio is an Internet Radio application, written by people passionate about Internet Radio, for people who are passionate about music.
It lets you discover and play content from any of the tens of thousands of streaming radio stations available on the internet.
But that is where the similarity to other internet radio apps ends, because Mundu Radio does a LOT more:
- Last.FM scrobbling integration (optional free Last.FM account required): As you listen to songs from internet radio stations, Mundu Radio will "scrobble" songs to Last.FM, allowing to keep track of songs you listened to, and optionally mark them as "loved". (Note: Mundu Radio does NOT play Last.FM radio streams)
- Music discovery: You don't have know about internet radio stations - just use the ShoutCast-driven interface to search for and discover radio stations that play YOUR kind of music! Want to listen to a station that plays songs by your favourite group? Type in the name, and let Mundu Radio ferret the stations out for you!
- Station Favourites (optional free Mundu.com account required): Found a station you like? Favourite it! And when you fire up Mundu Radio on any of the other platforms we support, these favourite stations will be available there, too!
- Artist information: As songs play from internet radio stations, the application will display pictures related to the artists, and will allow you to read more information about them.
- Twitter integration (optional free Twitter account required): Want to tell the world which song you are listening to? Mundu Radio lets you tweet it out!
- Station info: You can find out more information about the station, including the home URL
- WiFi/3G optmization: You can set up what streaming rates you use on WiFi and non-WiFi (GPRS/EDGE/3G) connections, or even disable non-WiFi altogether to save on costs.
- Fullscreen controls: No more fiddling with pesky little control buttons and sliders - slide your finger up and down the screen to control the volume, tap the screen to play/pause.
- Car mode: Using Mundu Radio in your car, but dont want the screen to lock so that you can quickly control things? Double tap the screen, and the Car Mode activates. Voila - no more screen lock!
