mTagIt is more than a simple GPS based tagging application, it’s a portable location album enabling you to define your own categories for location tags and assign an image to the tag. The tags contain additional location information such as the Maidenhead locator and UK National Grid Locator that can be used along with the Longitude and Latitude to tag locations and feed data into navigation systems for example. Radio Hams can also use this location data for repeater and gateway applications. You can send your location data and time using SMS or email (includes image) if the device permits this. You can now share and save your important location data along with an image with friends.A map is also on hand to plot not only your location tags but current location (GPS enabled devices only). There are many uses for mTagIt with the addition of the exact time within the tag enables you to create your tag, take a picture and make some notes when involved in a motor vehicle accident, or when on vacation for example. Being able to define your own categories, send the data collected and view your tags on a map makes mTagIt ideal for many applications. You can of course edit your tags after they have been collected including modifying the tag category.
