Application Description
This app displays train schedules for all branches of the Long Island Rail Road. In addition, it uses LIRR Train Time™ to display real-time train status and track information for the Port Washington and West Hempstead branches.
It works both online and offline. Real-time branch alerts are automatically integrated into the schedule and will appear along side the departure/arrival time information.
It automatically downloads a new or updated schedule when it becomes available. It displays a history view of all of the schedule updates that have been downloaded to the app.
The entire day's schedule is available to be viewed all at once, and when a schedule is displayed, the app automatically scrolls the list to the next available train.
It displays peak/off peak trains, transfers, time between transfers, total trip time, and a list of all the stops on the selected trip.
It is an accessible app and is designed to work with VoiceOver.
Please note that this app is not affiliated with the MTA and the LIRR schedules it displays are dependent on the accuracy of the GTFS schedule data that the MTA provides.
