Verso: Unveiling the Backstory is a digital publication for the iPad that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at art and the pursuit of artistic passions.

“Verso” describes the flipside of works of art on paper and canvas. To us, Verso means experiencing art and bringing the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) to life in a whole new way.

Available free at the App Store, Verso delivers engaging content, rotating images, videos, interviews, and links to give you backstage access to the MIA. Each quarterly issue will bring you fascinating insights into the dynamic life of our museum. You’ll see how curators work with top artists on upcoming exhibitions. Interact with artwork in ways that take you far beyond what’s possible in the galleries. Hear from experts who are passionate about the art they create, curate, acquire, donate, fund, research, and restore. And find out about how our museum inspires the community to create, participate, and revel in art. Verso digs deeper, to bring you the good stuff.

Download our free issues. Tell us how you like Verso, and give us your suggestions. What would you like to see and hear and do on Verso? Let’s build it together!

Featured in every issue
• Slideshows, 360-degree views, pinch screens and more to give you up-close and personal looks at the artwork.
• Video and audio content that enhances your multisensory experience.
• In-depth looks at the making of exhibitions and introductions to the people behind them.
