Davidson County Community College (DCCC) and The North Carolina Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (NCAMA) are proud to present The Micrometer Training Tool!

This simulation app is designed to help educate and familiarize students with the use of a micrometer. Simulating the operation of it's real world counterpart to exacting standards, this virtual micrometer provides the opportunity to operate a micrometer and learn it's functions.

In addition to simulating the physical function of the micrometer, it also provides digital readouts of the current measured location in eights and tenths of an inch. It features both manual operation and a snap-to-input system which allows the user to specify an exact decimal measurement. A built in mini-manual provides all the basic information needed to successfully operate the Micrometer Training Tool, making it a great stand alone training utility or an excellent in-class educational aid.
