metroexit tells you which train car and door to use for an efficient exit on the WMATA metro system. No internet connection is required.

The app asks a few simple questions about which line and final train destination you are using before providing answers in simple car/door pairings. Exit type information is included: escalator, elevator, stairs, or a same level exit. In stations where metro lines meet, additional information is provided to make an efficient transfer. Key sightseeing exits are also noted.

We will continue to update the database of exits to ensure proper routing around capital improvement projects. We will also actively accept user suggestions to improve routing to final destinations outside the system.
