Metro Beacon locates and connects you to the events and people around you. Discover food, music, meetups and more with this handy location based application.

Also find interesting events in a new city; coordinate sessions at conference; or plan a social outing with friends, all while on-the-go from your mobile device.

* Launch the application to view events taking place nearby for the current day.

* Use the category selector at the top to show different types of events on the map.



* Pop up the date selector to scroll through events happening in the future.



* Tap any event to see more details or read the latest updates from Twitter.  You can add an event to your Planner by selecting "Following" or "Going".



* Use the Planner to keep on top of the events you're interested in attending; or peruse the events you’ve attended or followed in the past.



* Share the events you plan on attending with Friends – over Facebook or Twitter – by simply tapping the "Share" button from the event details.



* Send your own event updates over Twitter from the "Post" screen to let everyone know what's going on.



* Add your own events to the map using the Add Event (+) button in the Planner – everyone can create their own social gatherings in the "Meetups" category of events.



NOTE: when you create a Meetup event, it will be public to everyone.  Don’t share anything you do not want others to see.



Registered Vendors can create events in other categories, such as Food, Music, Conferences and Art & Fashion.  Please submit a Vendor approval request from the "Settings" screen to apply for Registered Vendor status.
