Meteoria is an interactive app to be used on the Solar system model in the meteorite crater Söderfjärden in Vaasa, Finland. The sun is located at the center of the crater close to the visitor center Meteoria. The crater rim (forest edge) indicates the orbit of Neptune.

The app will use the GPS receiver to find out where you are in the Solar system model. With the app you can find many more objects than those marked by signs on the ground, objects like comets, dwarf planets, near earth asteroids, spacecrafts and so on. By pressing the objects you can learn more about the small bodies in the Solar system.

The scale of the model is 1:2 000 000 000 (i.e. 1 mm on the ground is 2 000 km in space). With this scale the speed of light will become 15 cm/s. The speedometer indicates how fast you are going in the model. The meter rating is in number of times the speed of light. You are not limited to the Söderfjärden crater, the Solar system does not end at the orbit of Neptune. You can go all the way to the closest star Alpha Centauri, at a distance of 4.37 light years.
