There are many techniques to help with memorizing large sets of data. One such technique is a mnemonic device the called 'Memory of Loci', also known as the 'Memory Palace'. The idea is to memorize the layout of a building, or some other geographical entity. When trying to memorize a set of items, one mentally walks through the building and assigns an item to each room or other distinguishing feature within that buliding. When recalling the items, one mentally walks through the building again. Each room or distinguishing feature that's been assigned an item will activate memory, allowing for retrieval of that item.

When trying to remember the order of numbers in this game, imagine walking through your building and assigning a number to each room within the building. When recalling the numbers, walk through the building again. With each room you mentally visit, your brain will also recall the number you've assigned that room
