John Paul Foster is a fine art photographer specializing in images of Kyoto,
especially geisha and maiko. He is the only photographer in the world to
have books published on geisha and maiko in both Japan (<i>One Hundred Views of
Maiko and Geiko</i>) and the United States (<i>Geisha & Maiko of Kyoto: Beauty,
Art, & Dance</i>). He is also the author of <i>One Hundred Views of Kyoto.</i>
