Robert Baker was born in South Africa, where he qualified to play on the South African Tour before turning his passion to teaching. Combining years of knowledge and personal experience, Baker focuses on perfecting the golfing technique via his teaching.
Named by Golf Magazine as one of America’s top 100 Teachers, Baker’s mentors included two of the world’s leading golf instructors, Chuck Cook and David Leadbetter, the latter whom he worked with for five years.
In the 1990s Robert worked closely with golfer Ernie Els to assist him in getting to the top of the world rankings. In addition to Els, Baker has been a consultant to several other players who have been ranked number one, namely Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, Nick Price and Nick Faldo. His celebrity and CEO client list reads like the who’s who of amateur golfers.
Baker’s brand Logical Golf is helping golf instruction move to a new level by adding visual and moving pictures into the teaching role. This method allows his style and technique to be adopted by all types of players at any level who are looking to improve.
