Application Description
This is the free child application for pairing with the parent application “Find the Kidz”.
“Find the Kidz” is the first mobile application dedicated to locating your children in a non-intrusive manner and can update you with important information regarding their movements.
The Application’s unique notification system allows you to receive notifications when your child arrives at or leaves selected ‘Known Locations’ or when your child ventures outside a selected ‘Safe Zone’, ensuring your peace of mind and your child’s independence.
Utilising the latest Smartphone technology, Find the Kidz:
1.uses your child’s Smartphone to determine their location.
2.reports locations to your (the parent’s) Smartphone in a user friendly manner.
3.optionally notifies you when your child leaves a specified Safe Zone (being a selected distance from a specified location).
4.optionally notifies you when your child arrives or leaves two selected Known Locations, which may be named individually (eg home and school).
5.optionally notifies you when a connection is lost or re-established with your child’s Smartphone.
The Two Find the Kidz Applications
The most cost effective way to utilise Find the Kids is to:
•load the free of charge “Location - Find the Kidz” Application on your child’s Smartphone. This application allows the child’s location to be determined and does not include monitoring features necessary to view another child’s location, and
•load the paid “Find the Kidz” Application on your (the parent’s) Smartphone. This application allows you to view your child’s location and receive notifications. The Application does not transmit your location unless you ‘tick’ Allow Incoming Connection Requests.
This application also allows the child to view their movements over the last 24 hours.

How it Works
The Find the Kidz Application utilises phone tower triangulation, Wi-Fi locations and GPS to determine your child’s location, provided each of these services are turned on in your child’s Smartphone.
As a result Find the Kidz relies upon the accuracy of your Smartphone’s GPS transmitter, your phone carrier’s network and Google’s Wi-Fi mapping to determine the location of your child’s Smartphone. Find the Kidz will report the most accurate location it receives from each of these sources. The Application reports the accuracy of your child’s location by placing a shaded circle around the reported location, indicating the vicinity your child is located.
Recognising the importance of security, Find the Kidz does not require the registration of personal details for the use of the Application.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
