LocalUncle gives you the ability to ask questions about your city, its neighborhoods and places and get real-time responses from people who are there right now. Your questions are sent to users who are at the location you’re asking about - who better to let you know what’s going on? And really, those users are like having a good friend at every bar, store, and neighborhood in your city, who you can text and ask anything you need to know. LocalUncle takes these strangers and connects us all as a family - one that is respectful and helpful to all other family members. DO OTHER PEOPLE SEE MY LOCATION?
No. Never. LocalUncle never discloses or shares your location. The app doesn’t show your position on the map to others. Nobody knows where you are, unless you explicitly tell people your location. All location-data is anonymized. The only thing we show are names of places, neighborhoods, and cities and the amount (no names!) of users at these places.
