Application Description
LInKE is an application, which filters the white-hot lava rivers of the just erupted Content Krakatoa for relevant content for you, which you would not come across on, or would cost too much effort to outsource, from the realms of the internet.
For finding the most relevant content for you, we work with two different methods. The Network filters by -obviously- using different network algorithms to find the right content for you and then posting it onto your LInKE feed. The other method is to stop the Content Kraken which is our, unique interpretation of filtering algorithms, which we like to call the “LInKE formula”.This is the most we can tell about this, otherwise we would have to kill you, sorry. Let it just be enough that you get the content, which will blow your mind!
It is a legitimate question: why do we seperate these two, when it basically does the same? Don’t worry, with the “mixed” button you can easily combine the results of the two filters and get the best results when it comes to your interests on the internet.
For example: last week you read a good article, found on LInKE, and now you want to show it to your mom? You have been searching half of the universe for it, but no luck at all? You only have to push the “History” button which will show you the last 1000 posts that you've either clicked, liked or saw. Cool, huh? No such thing on Facebook, we'll promise you that!
Suppose that you would like to make a nice dessert for that sunday family dinner. You remember last spring -it could've been the beginning of the summer- Jane Doe, your neighbour, shared an outstanding bread and poppyseed pudding recipe. You even gave it a like, but forgot to place it in your bookmarks. With the panic mode on, you start searching Jane’s Newsfeed for that glorious entry, but you give up after 10 minutes of puppy's, kittens and predictable horoscope posts… swearing by yourself: “If only there was an easier way…” Then comes the realisation: “Oops! In LInKE under the “My likes” function I can easily search back for Gordon Ramsey’s zerocalorie bread and poppyseed pudding recipe, because the system has all my previous Facebook likes!”.
To make a long story short: LInKE is a useful application, which will make your life easier. Way easier.
