We spend a majority of our waking hours at work and as Peter Drucker put it – “Work is an extension of personality. It is achievement. It is one of the ways in which a person defines himself, measures his worth, and his humanity.”

If this is indeed true – then how do we fulfill ourselves at work? What is our “way of doing things?” – Dharma is nothing but a way of life – and for those of you who choose to accept it – leadership can be a way of life at work. Leadership as defined and discussed here (read the Manifesto) is meant for everyone, regardless of status and hierarchy; is a prescription for daily behavior; and is aimed at doing exceptional work to ultimately fulfill ourselves – might as well – since we spend so much time and effort at it!

I am Vinay Nadig – your guide – nothing more or nothing less. I have spent more than 2 decades executing projects, delivering value, serving clients, sometimes failing and ultimately succeeding on my own terms. From a serial entrepreneur, to the leader of a business unit in a corporation, and back to an entrepreneurial position in technology startups, I have constantly “lived leadership daily.” I have had the privilege to work with some great leaders and some not so great ones; I have had the luxury of working with some exceptional peers and team mates; One thing I discovered – regardless of the hype surrounding the so-called leaders of an organization, namely the C-level folks, leadership happens at every level of the organization. Leadership Dharma is my attempt to create a framework that you can use daily, without regard to station and status; with full intent on creating and delivering exceptional value.
