“I work in a private practice with my wife Dr Anne Kolbe in Reunion in St. Peter, and have since 1995. I attended school in Germany and in Africa (Togo and Niger) which has given me a taste for the tropics. I studied at the Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg. My Internship & Residency at the Hospices Civils de Strasbourg allowed me to acquire a diploma in General Surgery and Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. To complete my training, I also specialized in surgery of the face and neck as well as microsurgery.
I did my military service as a volunteer technical assistant to the SMC of Saint Denis in 1990 or 1991 and I took care especially for injured and burned patients. It was during this first stay of two years I developed my love for the Island and its people. I moved with my wife and my two children Victor and Roxanne in 1995 in St. Pierre."
