Kicka is a free arcade style game. Instead of inserting a coin at the top of a machine and using the kickers to bat it back and forth pelicans use their bills to move a virtual coin. A player wins points by successfully completing each hole and loses points when they fall into traps.

There are four levels to choose from Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. And three modes of play, Play 18, Front 9 and Back 9.
Kicka has two play scenes one for the front 9 and one for the back 9 which can be played separately and bonus points are awarded if a player makes it to the end. When Play 18 is chosen play starts on the front 9, finishes on the back 9. Bonus points are awarded at the end of the front 9 and higher bonus points are awarded if a player makes it through to the end of the back 9. For more information see Bonus Points below.

Score is accumulative for each level either increasing or decreasing as play continues. As the level is increased so are the points awarded. Intermediate is two times Beginner level, Advanced is 4 times and Expert is 6 times. There is a penalty for falling into traps and it is increased at each level of play. -50 for beginner, -100 for Intermediate, -200 for Advanced and -400 for Expert. All levels and scores are displayed in the Scores menu and the level being played on the top left of the screen during game play.

Play 18 mode keeps track of how many times a player completes all 18 holes and if lives are enabled how many lives were used. Displayed as 1st / 2nd / 3rd in the Scores menu and on the top right of the screen during game play in Play 18 mode. 1st = no lives used and wins the maximum bonus points , 2nd = one life used, 3rd = two lives used and minimum bonus points.

Achievements are awarded as target scores are reached. For more information see Achievements below. Game Center Achievements and Leaderboards can be viewed in Game Center if a player is logged in.

*Note: The game has one life, the one a player starts with. One or two extra lives can be purchased from the Extras menu if desired.

*Hints: Use beginner level to work out power level required for each hole and write it down. Then play the Front 9 and Back 9 at the higher levels to practise and find your rhythm before trying Play 18.

Points are awarded at the end of each hole. At beginner level the first hole of each nine is worth 10 points and is increased by ten points for each hole reaching 90 points at the last hole of each nine. Points at the higher levels are awarded as described above i.e. 2, 4 and 6 times beginner level.

If a player makes it through all 18 holes in Play 18 game play it is recorded as a 1st and is awarded the maximum bonus points for the level played. If one or two more lives have been enabled they are recorded as 2nd and 3rd.

Bonus points;
1. Beginner - Front 9 100, Back 9 100, Play 18 100 at the end of the front 9 + 1,000 for 1st or 500 for 2nd or 200 for 3rd at the end of the back 9
2. Intermediate - Front 9 200, Back 9 200, Play 18 200 at the end of the front 9 + 2,000 for 1st or 1,000 for 2nd or 400 for 3rd at the end of the back 9
3. Advanced - Front 9 400, Back 9 400, Play 18 400 at the end of the front 9 + 4,000 for 1st or 2,000 for 2nd or 800 for 3rd at the end of the back 9
4. Expert - Front 9 600, Back 9 600, Play 18 600 at the end of the front 9 + 6,000 for 1st or 3,000 for 2nd or 1,200 for 3rd at the end of the back 9

There are seven achievements for each level and they are awarded during the game as score targets are reached. The can be viewed in the scores menu and in Game Center.

1st 50,000 points and next bonus is doubled
2nd 100,000 points and next bonus is tripled
3rd 500,000 points and next bonus is multiplied by four
4th 1,000,000 points and next bound is multiplied by five
5th 1,500,000 points and next bound is multiplied by six
6th 2,000,000 points and next bound is multiplied by seven
7th 2,500,000 points and players entire score is doubled
