Welcome to Jenolan Caves – the worlds most spectacular limestone cave system. This audio tour is designed for kids aged 5 – 12. Using simplified language and narrated by kids, it takes you from the historic Jenolan Village, through the iconic Grand Arch and Devil’s Coach House, and into the Nettle Cave.
There are 18 stops on this self-guided tour, which explores the geology, cultural heritage, and history of Jenolan, as well as the Dream Time creation stories of the local Aboriginal people.
Entry to the cave is complimentary with the purchase of any Jenolan Pass. Once you have purchased your pass, staff will explain the procedure for accessing the Nettle Cave. The tour is clearly signposted, and each commentary point is also indicated by numbered markers along the way.
Visitors should allow around an hour for this experience, which is open from 9am to 5pm every day of the year.
