Using this app the user can be guided through his itinerary in Villa Borghese.
It is possible to walk through the many museums inside the area starting from Piazzale Flaminio. The app gives informations regarding the history of the streets and the green around the visitor, for example tree and rare species (that can be found in the worldwide Red List). Following the itinerary it is possible to discover historical gardens too just following the map navigation.There are tons of informations about plants and trees (Latin name and common name), the size (height, circumference, foliage) and morphology and anatomy of their leaves (leaves surface, consistency, characteristics and functions of the texture). It is also possible to freely make a custom route choosing different points of interest (For example (The green around museums, Platani valley, Bioparco, Il Pincio, Piazza di siena). Contents are available offline except for the GPS navigation. Multimedia contents are the results of scientific research of the Plant Ecology lab of the Environmental Biology Department Of Sapienza University of Rome supervised by Prof. Loretta Gratani
