iSpellTutor is an application which is designed to teach students to spell. It does not have a pre-defined dictionary of words. Rather, users can enter their own words and record their pronunciation.

iSpellTutor Features:

- Ability to define custom lists.

- Retry function so student can retry a word if they made a mistake.

- Partial points are awarded for a correctly retried word to encourage retrying.

- History of results with detail about how each word in the word list was answered (incorrect words are shown in red, correct but retried words in blue and correct words answered correctly the first time in green).

I wrote this for my seven year old. It has made learning the 15 weekly words (10 regular + 5 bonus) painless. I have her record the words on Friday when we get the list and then give her the test once a day when she goes to bed at night. She has gone from having a few wrong per week to usually getting them all correct or occasionally getting one incorrect.
