Application Description
What is iRover mobile HMI?
The idea is simple. By turning an iPad into the HMI of a PLC, we are able to unchain ourselves from standing in front of a control panel. This is what we call “Onsite Mobility”. Onsite Mobility allows the operator to move freely, while being connected to the PLC. It allows the user to move out of inclement weather or direct sunlight that washes out stationary screens, rendering them useless. It allows the user to move away from the control panel and closer to the process being controlled while maintaining the ability to fully control the PLC. It’s like taking the PLC with you.
iRover mobile HMI is not only a mobile HMI, it’s also a dynamic document management system when coupled with the docRover app. This means important documents such as schematics, O&M’s and photos pertinent to your equipment will always be a touch away. They are updateable and can be shared with multiple users. (docRover sold separately)
The iRover mobile HMI is flexible and expandable to operate an infinite number of PLC’s. It can be set up with a local WiFi router that provides Onsite Mobility or go remote with an internet connection or a 3G modem. The choice is up to you.

•Operates exclusively with Unitronics V350 PLC’s. (V570 compatibility coming soon.)
•Will operate any custom programs that have been written for the V350.
•(if your program runs on a V350, iRover will take if mobile for you.)
•Huge 9.50in x 7.50in color multi-touch screen (iPad)
•Stand alone app does not require remote desk top to run
•Real time control of PLC
•Optional routers allow for local onsite mobility or total remote access of the PLC
•Can operate an infinite number of PLC’s on different networks
