2012 findet in Regensburg und Umgebung zum dritten Mal der Ironman statt. Über 2.000 Teilnehmer aus der ganzen Welt kämpfen in den Disziplinen Schwimmen (3,8 km), Radfahren (180 km) und Laufen (42,2 km) um die Ehre sowie um 50 exklusive Startplätze für den Ironman in Hawaii.
