iProve is used by two people, allowing one to prove their identity and location attached to their email address. The requesting user sends a request to the responders email address through iProve asking for their identity and location. A City, State only request is the default or a full street address can be requested. iProve only sends the data agreed on between the two users and nothing is sent without user consent. The responding user then fills the request through iProve by recording a shot video clip of themselves saying a unique passphrase. The iPhone or iPod uses it's built in GPS capabilities to find the City, State or full address requested. iProve shows the responding user what their address is being sent back as. The short video clip and address are sent back to the requester's email address. The requester now views the proof video clip and the address through iProve. They now know who and where the email address owner is. Email attachments are used as a form of communication, and iProve automatically opens them, allowing for a quick and streamlined process. One user now knows the email address belongs to a specific person in a specific area. Usage examples include knowing that a craigslist buyer does in fact reside in your city, parents knowing the approximate age and city of who their children are communicating online with (Facebook, etc.), and employee's being able to prove their location (and time) to employers for on site work.
